How to add a customer review widget to your store

Choose a ReviewList badge, rating card, or recent-experience display, copy its embed, and verify the real storefront presentation.

A useful widget displays the eligible customer feedback your store actually has. Choose the layout for the space, install the supported embed, and test the result before publishing.

Verify the store before configuring its display

Claim the public store domain and finish DNS verification, then open its storefront workspace. Widgets are included with Free. Your website manager can install the snippet while you retain control of the store’s ReviewList account.

Check which reviews the display represents. The widget uses eligible published reviews submitted directly on ReviewList. It does not substitute a collected-review average for missing direct customer feedback. Before the first eligible publication, the widget shows an honest empty state and a way to share an experience instead of manufacturing stars.

Match the layout to the customer’s task

A compact badge suits a small space where a customer can follow the profile link for detail. A rating card provides more context without a long list. Recent experiences give shoppers written feedback when there is room to read it. Choose the layout based on usable space and readability, not on which presentation makes a small sample seem largest.

Choose light or dark appearances and forest, charcoal, or navy accents. Check legibility in the preview. Keep the profile link usable and avoid covering return, delivery, or support information. The widget complements accurate policies rather than replacing them.

Copy the script or iframe from your workspace

The script snippet includes the store domain and selected layout settings. Copy that generated code into an HTML or code surface your storefront permits. The script adjusts widget height as content changes. This is a manual embed, not an app installation, an order integration, or automatic review-request scheduling.

If the site builder restricts scripts but permits external frames, use the workspace’s iframe alternative. Its height is fixed in the snippet, so adjust it if the selected layout needs more room. Some builders restrict both options or require additional permissions. In that case, use a plain link to your public review profile until you have a compatible embedding surface.

Test the live page and interpret activity carefully

Check desktop, mobile, and the published page. Confirm the domain, frame height, destination, and fit alongside other content. Remove duplicate snippets. A workspace preview alone does not establish that the builder preserved your installed code.

The workspace’s activity counts are approximate widget loads and profile clicks from script embeds on the verified domain and its subdomains. Preview loads and iframe-only embeds are excluded. These events are not unique visitors, purchases, or sales uplift. The widget does not guarantee Google review stars, improved rankings, or a particular customer response.

Questions and answers

Can I install the widget without any direct reviews?

Yes, after domain verification. It shows an empty state and a review route until eligible direct reviews are published. Collected-review scores do not create a direct customer rating.

Will it work on every website builder?

No universal compatibility is promised. Your builder must permit the script or iframe. Preview the actual page and use a public profile link if embedding is restricted.

Does it add review stars to Google results?

The widget does not promise Google rich-result stars or ranking changes. It displays feedback on your storefront and links to your public ReviewList profile.
