Lacoste quality and item-condition reviews

9 published company reviews mention quality & condition. Read the accounts, their dates and the questions that help put them in context.

Reviews are selected by English keywords in their titles or text, regardless of rating. Matching can include unrelated uses of a word and miss relevant experiences. It does not verify a claim, measure an incident rate, infer sentiment or establish a company policy. Product reviews are excluded. Five matching reviews is our publication threshold, not a reliability or safety score.

The worst quality for the price

The worst quality for the price. The sneakers started falling apart after just two weeks. I’m honestly afraid to put them in the washing machine because I suspect they’ll disintegrate into molecules.

I generally buy a fair few things a year, and for me on the whole the quality is perfect for me and hard to find elsewhere. However I did buy some shorts recently and the tie at the front is a polyester lace. This is incredibly difficult to untie as it creates such a small knot. This could be down to the designers having smaller hands or longer nails, so perhaps more testing with the expected customer base before putting into production.

URGENT ESCALATION: Defective Product & Consumer Fraud by Dressup Group Georgia

To the Lacoste Global Management and Brand Protection Team, I am submitting this formal complaint regarding a defective product and the disgraceful, fraudulent treatment I received from your official franchisee in Georgia, Dressup Group. On July 23, 2026, I purchased a t-shirt from the Lacoste Tbilisi Mall branch. Shortly after, the material and print began to severely peel off—a clear manufacturing defect. When I reported this to the local customer service, they initially dismissed my claim with robotic templates. After I escalated the issue, they explicitly invited me in writing to bring the item to the Tbilisi Mall branch for a "detailed on-site investigation." However, when I took time out of my corporate schedule to visit the store today, I was met with a complete circus. The store manager blatantly refused to accept the item, refused to provide an official handover receipt, and performed a laughable two-second visual scan before instantly declaring it a "user error." Furthermore, the manager proudly stated that they had "received no emails from customer service or Global," exposing the absolute internal chaos, miscommunication, and outright lies within Dressup Group. Diagnosing a material and print defect with the naked eye in two seconds is an insult to consumer intelligence and a fraudulent evasion of standard warranty procedures. As a General Director who actively manages large-scale, cross-channel digital marketing operations, I will not tolerate this profound disrespect. Therefore, I am taking the following actions: I am officially filing a legal complaint with the Georgian National Competition Agency (Consumer Rights Protection Department) regarding this unlawful refusal to physically inspect a defective item. I am preparing to allocate resources for a massive, targeted digital anti-campaign (via Meta, Google, and TikTok Ads) focused entirely on the Tbilisi region. I will publicly broadcast this defective product and Dressup Group’s terrible customer treatment to ensure the public sees exactly how your local management is destroying Lacoste’s global brand reputation. I have already wasted enough of my valuable time playing childish games with uninformed store staff. I will not be stepping foot in your Tbilisi Mall branch for a third time. I expect Lacoste Global to intervene immediately, bypass this incompetent local team, and authorize a full replacement or refund. Once approved, you must arrange for a courier to pick up the defective item from my office and deliver the replacement.

Bad quality!

I bought two polo-shirts on-line. I am surprised about the very bad quality both about the material and about how it is sawn aswell. It really is a shame! Next time I'd rather buy polo-shirts of a cheap brand, paying 30,00 € and have good quality. Not such rags.

Quality down the nick...

Clothing quality has totally gone down the nick. My husband has been wearing for 40 years and we've noticed more and more how poor the material is. I've just contacted them about a polo shirt that has only been worn and washed 4 times, the collar and sleeve cuffs are totally worn and faded! Not interested in helping, 'go back to seller', after I told them it was authorised dealer on P&O Cruise. Be wary of high end purchases, rubbish quality clothing now on level with Shein!

Terrible garment quality which seems to be declining over the years. i literally wore a t-shirt once and had to throw away from numerous holes which I don't recall incurring any pulling to create said holes. Don't invest your time or money in this apparel. I paid $200 AUD and got told nothing can be done since i purchased this item overseas!

My latest online shopping experience...

My latest online shopping experience with Lacoste UK has been incredibly disappointing. The quality of the clothing is nowhere near what I expected. The colours shown on the website are vibrant, but the actual items look much paler, almost as if they've been left out in the sun. The fabric also feels rough rather than soft and premium, which is not what you'd expect from a brand like Lacoste. I initially decided to return just one item and requested a return label. At first, I convinced myself to keep the rest, even though I wasn't really happy with them. The more I thought about it, the more I realised I shouldn't keep clothes I didn't genuinely like, so I decided to return the rest of the order as well—even though it meant paying for return postage again. To my surprise, the website wouldn't let me create another return request. It simply states that you can only request one return per order. Seriously? If a customer changes their mind before all the items have been returned, there should be a straightforward way to update the return or create another one. Instead, I had to contact customer service, only to be told it could take several days to receive a response because they're busy. Meanwhile, I'm left waiting because of a limitation on their website. For a premium brand charging premium prices, this level of product quality and customer service is unacceptable. Customers deserve products that match what's advertised and a returns process that actually works. I hope Lacoste UK takes these issues seriously and improves both the quality of its products and the customer experience. Right now, this has been one of the most frustrating online shopping experiences I've had.

Ordered online - 10 days later - nothing

Ordered online, took 4 working days to despatch which feels well off the pace. Parcel has gone missing with DPD and nearly 2 weeks after ordering l still haven't received anything. Customer service are nice, apologetic but haven't sorted out the problem. Most retailers would have despatched replacements in a priority way by now. Lacoste quality is excellent but the online experience is depressing.

Questions about these reviews

How many Lacoste reviews mention quality & condition?

This page includes 9 eligible published company reviews selected by topic keywords, dated Jul 3, 2026 through Oct 3, 2026. The selection is not all customer feedback or a verified incident count.

Do these reviews establish Lacoste's current policy or service performance?

No. These are individual customer accounts. Keywords do not verify a statement, establish an incident rate or prove current delivery, return, warranty, support or billing terms. Read the details and confirm the terms relevant to your purchase directly with the company.

How are the ratings on this quality & condition page calculated?

Each collection keeps its own arithmetic mean of the company-review ratings in this keyword-matched subset. A company review can describe multiple parts of an experience; its stars are not an independently measured topic-only score. Collected reviews and direct submissions remain separate.
