My Terrible Experience with Amazon

My Terrible Experience with Amazon: Two Shipments, More Than 16 Contacts with Support, and No Accountability I have been extremely disappointed with my experience with Amazon. What should have been a straightforward purchase turned into a frustrating ordeal involving two shipments, repeated empty promises, more than 16 contacts with technical support, and a complete lack of accountability. The items I ordered were bodybuilding supplies that I needed for my training. Unfortunately, instead of receiving my order as expected, I found myself caught in a seemingly endless cycle of delays, promises, and problems. The first shipment: More than a month of waiting My original parcel was delayed for more than a month. Throughout this period, I was repeatedly assured that the parcel would arrive. I kept waiting and trusting these assurances, but the situation was never properly resolved. Eventually, Amazon offered me two options: a refund or a replacement shipment. I chose the replacement because I still wanted the products I had purchased. Amazon also provided compensation equivalent to the value of the order for the excessive delay. This compensation was given because I had been waiting for more than a month. It was not the refund option I had selected instead of receiving my items. The second shipment: Another problem, followed by another disappointment After the replacement shipment was sent, I encountered yet another problem: the second parcel was damaged during transit. I contacted Amazon to report the damage and seek a resolution. Instead of receiving a fair solution, I was told that I would have to pay for the order again because I had supposedly already received a refund for the original shipment. This was extremely frustrating. The compensation I received was for the excessive delay, while I had explicitly chosen a replacement shipment rather than a refund. Repeated promises and nobody taking responsibility One of the most disappointing aspects of this entire experience was that nobody seemed willing to take responsibility for either shipment. In both cases, I was repeatedly given assurances that my parcels would arrive, yet I was left dealing with one problem after another. I contacted technical support more than 16 times trying to resolve these issues. Think about how much time and effort that requires from a customer who simply wants to receive the products they paid for. Despite all these attempts, I was left facing another damaged shipment and a demand to pay again. I understand that shipping delays and transit damage can happen. However, what I find unacceptable is the repeated cycle of promises without a satisfactory outcome, the lack of accountability, and the way my case was handled when I sought help. These were bodybuilding supplies I needed for my training, not an unnecessary purchase I could simply forget about. The delays and complications disrupted my plans and caused considerable frustration. My biggest disappointment is not simply that two shipments encountered problems. It is that, after repeated assurances and more than 16 contacts with support, I still had to fight to have my situation properly addressed. I expected a company of Amazon's size to provide reliable service, clear communication, and a reasonable solution when things went wrong. Instead, my experience left me feeling that I was being passed from one problem to the next, with nobody taking ownership of the situation. Amazon should understand that customer service is not just about offering compensation or sending a replacement. It is also about ensuring that problems are resolved fairly when the replacement itself encounters difficulties. I chose a replacement, not a refund. The compensation was for the excessive delay. When the replacement shipment was damaged, I expected assistance—not another demand to pay for the same order again. After everything I have experienced, I am deeply dissatisfied with Amazon's handling of this case. I am sharing my experience publicly because customers deserve transparency, accountability, and service they can rely on. Two shipments. More than a month of waiting for the original parcel. More than 16 contacts with support. Repeated promises. Another shipping problem. And still no satisfactory resolution. This is not the customer experience I expected from Amazon.

A faulty product and an utterly...

A faulty product and an utterly unacceptable returns process The whole experience has been appalling, from receiving a product that didn't work to Amazon's handling of the return. The item was completely unusable. I had no choice but to return it. However, Amazon deliberately turned the return process impossible to navigate, effectively cornering me. Amazon only offered Royal Mail collection, refusing to let me drop the parcel off at a branch. I was required to pack the item and remain at home waiting for the courier. I waited at home for two full days, missing two days' worth of work, and the courier never turned up. When I contacted Amazon customer service again, I was told that the only way to change the return label was to cancel the existing return and initiate a new one. I followed those instructions, only for the system to stop responding properly. It now displays an error message claiming that something went wrong on Amazon's side, with the only option being to return to the home page. In practice, Amazon is refusing to interact with me, thus refusing to accept a faulty item return, which was initiated the day I received the item. In summary, I am still stuck with a faulty £20 item, without a refund, having lost two days of work and wasted hours trying to navigate a dysfunctional returns process. Because I paid by bank transfer, my bank cannot simply reverse the payment for me. I am effectively left with two choices: pursue Amazon through the courts to recover £20 plus my losses, or abandon the matter altogether. Is this really what customer service has come to? Amazon has made returning a faulty product so unnecessarily difficult that the time and effort involved may cost me far more than the item itself. The lack of an effective way to resolve the problem, particularly when the collection service fails and the website itself produces errors, is simply unacceptable. One star is generous.

Everything takes longer than they say. Don't pay for prime its a joke on you.

Everything takes longer than they say. Very unreliable delivery dates, drivers, and service. Paying extra for "fast shipping is a joke and never works as stated. 10pm deliveries are very common. All around horrible service and customer service. If you pay for Prime you are wasting your money. Make no mistake amazon.com is pure garbage and there is zero management or reliablity.

Unbelievable

Unbelievable, I have been with Amazon many years and have supported this business far too long to have deliveries be on time to now delayed and the Amazon carrier lie multiple times on why the delivery was not attempted. I've had to message more than twice to get my packages and phone calls. The carrier was great before but once they switched to Amazon carrier it's been complete garbage. Customer service only gives out refunds to "help" yeah cool thanks. Why not fix the problem. Don't waste your time on this.

Questions about these reviews

How many Amazon reviews mention customer support?

This page includes 7 eligible published company reviews selected by topic keywords, dated Oct 12, 2026 through Oct 12, 2026. The selection is not all customer feedback or a verified incident count.

Do these reviews establish Amazon's current policy or service performance?

No. These are individual customer accounts. Keywords do not verify a statement, establish an incident rate or prove current delivery, return, warranty, support or billing terms. Read the details and confirm the terms relevant to your purchase directly with the company.

How are the ratings on this customer support page calculated?

Each collection keeps its own arithmetic mean of the company-review ratings in this keyword-matched subset. A company review can describe multiple parts of an experience; its stars are not an independently measured topic-only score. Collected reviews and direct submissions remain separate.
