Materials quickly damaged...
I have loved allbirds in the past and have bought several shows from them. My latest pair bought earlier this year was a tree huggers sneakers and they were brilliant for a bit but the back material has very quickly split and now rubs against my ankle making them unfit to wear. I went back to the company but they class this as wear and tear and is not covered by warranted. Very disappointing.
Very pleased with the design
Very pleased with the design, fit comfortably.
I have five pairs of Allbirds
I have five pairs of Allbirds, different styles .
I have tried to raise a issue regarding the NZ remix’s , I washed them as the washing instructions on the Allbirds website, the insoles separately, then the body of the trainer on low in a gentle washing powder
The actual body of the trainers now smell so bad , they are out in the garage because the smell is so bad
I have been emailing Allbirds with my issue , looking back now they have fobbed me off, I spent £125 on a pair of trainers that are not fit for purpose
PLEASE DO NOT BUY ,WASTE OF MONEY!!!
Bad Quality and Zero Accountability
I decided to take the plunge and purchase a pair of Allbirds Tree Runner NZ shoes, after my husband raved about how great the brand is.
However a year into having the shoes, I noticed the material was starting to pull away from the sole and me being one step closer to having my baby toe poking out for fresh air! This failure is happening on both sides. I finally made time to complain to Allbirds two days ago and was basically told they can’t do anything and that I should take my shoes to someone who might be able to repair the material before it rips completely!
Let me be clear. I am not into fast fashion. I am happy to pay extra money for items that should last me for a long time. I prefer to have a smaller wardrobe filled with good quality products. I bought Allbirds shoes believing that they fit into this category. They do not. I believe a cheap pair of trainers from Temu would have lasted the same amount of time for one fifth of the price.
The fact that absolutely nothing was offered to rectify this situation shows how the company don’t even believe in their own products. Not an offer of store credit, discount code - nothing. As a comparison, I had an issue with a pair of Levi’s, a small tear starting to develop in the jeans, and they offered an online voucher immediately for the same amount I paid for the current jeans. No kickback and not even a small gesture. This is how you retain a customer and how you turn a negative experience into a positive one.
Not only will I not buy from Allbirds again but neither will my husband.
10 months’ worth of wear before the trainers fell apart
I got about 10 months’ worth of wear out of my "Tree Dasher 2" pair before they fell apart (I switch to boots during the wetter and colder months). After roughly 8 months, I noticed that my right heel didn't feel comfortable and saw that the material inside the shoe had come apart, exposing the inner padding. Not long after that, the other inner heel started go as well. I contacted Allbirds for help but was told that they would do nothing because it was past the 30-day limit.
It's a shame, really, because this is my third or fourth pair of Allbirds footwear and clearly the quality of the shoes has gone downhill, not to mention the poor customer service. Previously, the Tree Dashers would last me a good 2 years or more.
I've already switched allegiances and opted for a new brand for my replacement trainers.
Not true Trail Runners
Overall shoes are great for walking and very comfortable BUT the Men’s Trail Shoes are not durable for outdoor trail running. They look good and have a nice tread for everyday use but the toes and side material tears within a few months. They are not true trail runners or can be used for outdoor activities. They are a walking shoe only.
Poor quality and poor customer service
Very comfortable but after two months inner rear heal area holed. Contacted customer service to be told that despite the very little use of the shoes that nothing could be done. Poor quality and customer service
Extremely disappointing customer service — no goodwill whatsoever
I ordered a pair of Allbirds trainers on 27 August. They were ordered in my usual size 6, a size I have consistently worn successfully in Allbirds and other brands.
Unfortunately, the trainers I received are massively oversized and fit more like a size 7. I only tried them on recently, so I contacted Allbirds customer service to explain the situation and ask if they could make a goodwill exception to the 30-day return policy.
I was only 7 days outside the return window and was more than reasonable in my request. I even offered to pay the return postage myself and accept a credit voucher rather than a refund.
Allbirds still refused to help.
I find this particularly shocking given that these shoes clearly do not fit as expected for the size stated, and I wasn’t asking for anything unreasonable. I was simply asking for a little customer service and goodwill.
After spending money with a company like Allbirds, I expected much better. Instead, I was met with a rigid “30 days means 30 days” response, with zero attempt to find a reasonable solution.
I am now left with an expensive pair of trainers that I cannot wear, despite ordering my normal size, and Allbirds would rather lose a customer than make a small goodwill gesture.
Very disappointing. I would think twice about ordering from Allbirds again.
I’ve been purchasing shoes from...
I’ve been purchasing shoes from Allbirds for years. The quality from my last order is outrageously bad. I wore a pair of corduroy cruisers once, they tore up my heels so bad and sole is visibly lopsided. I asked customer services about a route forward and they send some AI note - forget it. You’ve lost a customer and I hope everyone reading this realises the brand has gone downhill. Don’t bother - even the sale prices aren’t worth it.
Quality has taken a nosedive
I first bought a pair of all birds when the company was brand new and they were great. I’m not sure what’s happened but quality control has gone way down, upon wearing my latest pair 6 times then running them through the recommended washing instructions on a cold wash cycle in a shoe bag the shoes have split in 4 places, I emailed the company and they couldn’t have cared less... I won’t be buying another pair
