HostGator is horrible and their customer service is the worst. Our emails were not working and they're technical support even though we told them exactly what it is kept closing the ticket for wrong reasons. We ended up switching to another provider will never ever recommend HostGator to someone and if they have hostgator I recommend they switch out of it
The problem was solved fast. I gave two screen shots, the service support person asked me to wait, then he asked me to send a test email to his account, it was successful, then I used my own email accounts to verify, it was working! The experience was good.
I contacted the company to cancel my account. I was directed to the chat. Within minutes, I was advised to wait for an agent and that it would take 8 minutes. The agent was very helpful with answering all of my questions, cancelled my auto-renewals and removed my credit card information from the website. He even asked me a few questions about backing up my information to ensure that I would have no regrets afterwards about lost information. Technology is not my strength so it was very helpful to have someone provide a few tips on how to cancel my account. One more thing to be grateful about on this Thanksgiving weekend.
The customer service person was very tentative on my problem and addressed the issue straight away.

My issue was perplexing & the HostGator Support Representative took the time to understand my situation & present the options available to me. I am very pleased with the results & will highly recommend their services.
I order a new VPS server, the server never setup up. I have to contact with support, but no help at all. Starting with the wrong foot. I have to ask several times for refund, unsuccessfully ! Several hours wasted, and a lot of frustration.
