My funds are being withheld for proof...
My funds are being withheld for proof of ownership and despite sending multiple documents and taking over ownership of the business a long time ago still no joy. They say 24hrs for there response and so far it is going on since Monday. Has anyone else had this experience and also what other providers did people change to????
Link will mask your ACH bank information to ending with 0000. Processors view this as a credit card. You will be charged a credit card fee. Without knowing it. No warning, it is just taken out of your bank. Business owners building a new payment app, who are not tech savvy, do not understand. Customers complain to the business but it is the app. Why do processors not recognize Link's masking number? It is an extreme hassle. Businesses with apps are facing Federal violations. Customers have to file disputes. Totally unnecessary stress and emotional draining experience. Link is associated with Stripe. Stripe is a payment processor. It seems like fraud. Stripe, a processor that collects fees, has created a wallet that turns your ACH information into a credit card in order to collect fees.

Rejected my account, held my money, and won't give a real answer
Stripe rejected my account, saying my business type is "not supported." They didn't just close the account. They also held my balance.
I complained, and support said the money would go back to my customers within 5 days. That never happened. Every time I follow up, they close the case without fixing anything or even replying properly. I have to keep chasing my own money, and it feels like harassment.
I now understand why Stripe has so many bad reviews. Before signing up, I didn't get why so many people complain about frozen funds and robotic support. Now I've lived it.
Stripe is not built for small businesses. Big companies have the money and lawyers to fight back, so Stripe treats them differently. A small business owner gets automated replies and closed tickets.
I am now taking legal action to get my money back.
If you run a small business, think twice before trusting Stripe with your money. Use another payment provider.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Funds Withheld Without Explanation
I had an account on the platform and was receiving payments normally. However, my account was closed without any clear explanation, and there were no disputes or payment issues associated with my account. My funds were subsequently withheld, and I was informed that I am not entitled to withdraw them.
In addition, the platform has completely restricted my account from receiving any further payments and does not allow me to process refunds or return funds to my customers, even when necessary.
This has caused significant inconvenience to both my business and my customers, as I am unable to receive payments or properly handle customer refunds.
Unfortunately, this has been an extremely poor experience and very disappointing, particularly given that there were no disputes or apparent issues with my account.

Account Verification EVERYTIME WHEN LOGIN
Always, non-stop, requesting for identity verification even back in the past years and as of today I’m on the same device accessing my Stripe dashboard, they ALWAYS prompt users to submit their identification documents in a way or another due to their automated system. I guess it’s another company that uses “AI” to handle their security again and started causing so much troubles.
The funny part is that the account is not a high-risk category as ONLY ONE small payment was charged back in 2019, and it was a test charge from my family member for a service in return without he ever requesting for a refund. Since then I decide to change my payment provider to others and the Stripe account was left dormant (not receiving any funds or charge anyone) up until today. So what’s causing the strict KYC to pop out when I just did one back in 2024 without the selfie requirement? No idea, gotta love those automated or AI security and whatever excuses they can come up with.
The worst part for privacy? After my last verification, Stripe started to request a selfie when i got locked out (yes again) by their system, stating that it was required along with the gov identity verification before I can access the account EVEN that I managed to provide a correct back-up code, the system still “penalizes” me at first login and demand for strict KYC before I can do anything else.
I’m just trying to close the dormant account for good without the full “it’s for your own good” identity excuses just to use their services. Who prompt for identity verification each and every single time when they sign-in past the years?! My local banks and other global payment processors didn’t even require a selfie. An associated on file email address + a photocopy of identification is more than enough, since when selfie is a must for financial security? If I had to gave up privacy just to use your services, might as well leave it.

My account was suspended without any explanation, and they stole all the money I had earned through my small startup company. I just wonder how this kind of service can continue operating without anyone being held accountable or going to jail.

I am extremely disappointed with Stripe...
I am extremely disappointed with Stripe and the way this payout delay has affected my business.
A payment owed to my business has been showing as **“in transit”**, while the expected payment date has changed and the funds have still not reached my business bank account.
This is no longer simply an inconvenience. The delay has had a direct impact on my business, including disruption to supplier payments and business relationships, and I have experienced the loss of customers and potential earnings as a result.
I am now seeking advice regarding the financial losses my business has suffered and am considering taking legal action against Stripe to recover those losses.
Businesses depend on payment providers to handle their money reliably and provide accurate information about when funds will be available. When that doesn't happen, the consequences can extend far beyond a delayed payment.
I am extremely disappointed with how this situation has been handled and believe Stripe needs to take responsibility for the impact this has had on my business.

⭐ 1 STAR
⭐ 1 STAR — SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS BEWARE OF STRIPE
Stripe held 25% of my customer payments and gave me no clear explanation for why my account was triggered. I tried getting answers, but calls went unreturned and I received little meaningful help.
Holding a small business’s money while failing to provide clear communication is unacceptable. We depend on those funds for payroll, materials, and operating expenses.
After this experience, I would NOT trust Stripe with my business’s payment processing again.
Business owners: read Stripe’s reserve and fund-hold policies very carefully before trusting them with your money.

The dashboard is so complicated and not...
The dashboard is so complicated and not very user friendly for business owners. When you want to do something as simple as set up a monthly subscription, it is nearly impossible to figure out or manage.
You end up wasting so much time trying to understand the site.
Besides that they overcharge on fees and totally not worth it
