I signed a year long agreement with ionos for hosting my .net site (because I couldn't immediately get my .com domain name released), and that same day, transferred my .com domain name to them. I told the man when I signed up that I have a google site and he said it would work. Within 3 hours of signing up with IONOS, I was told that my Google site wouldn't work because it wasn't HTML. I asked for my money and my domain names back. The lady I talked to about cancelling said I could cancel but that they couldn't release my domain names for 60 days. I told her that .com is just being held by them and is not attached to any site, so I should be able to get that one back immediately. I told her to keep everything the same for now because I had to check into whether I really had to wait 60 days to get my domain names back. Just minutes later, when I logged into my IONOS account, the .com was no longer listed, so I couldn't get the authorization number in order to get the domain name back.
