Extremely disappointed with Etsy’s unforgiving policies. There is zero room for minor mistakes, and sellers aren't even given a fair chance to rectify simple errors before facing harsh penalties or suspensions. It feels like the platform is structured primarily to profit off listing and shop fees rather than supporting sellers. I definitely cannot recommend opening a shop here!
i want to sell on etsy thats why i open a shop on it i also creat the payoneer account but after that i close the payoneer account because of some reasons and then create a new payoneer account but the etsy didnot updating the new account details my shop is on holiday mode and i try multiple time to contact the support team but they didnt respond to my problem and didnt answer yet
Etsy offers a wide variety of handmade, vintage, and creative products. However, product quality and customer experiences can vary depending on the seller.
Etsy allows the promotion of deceptive tactics. I bought an art canvas that said "real brush strokes" Beware, its not what it says in bold print: one must scroll and seek additional webpages to find that the art was a print. The seller did change the deceptive language after objecting. Keep in mind Etsy backs up the seller here in spite of the clear evidence, which warranted changing the original language. I will not by Etsy ever again.
I ran a small personalised engraving shop on Etsy, and it was suspended without any specific explanation. After I appealed, I was told the account was linked to another shop that is no longer eligible. I believe the link comes from living in the same house as a family member who ran a separate shop. We are separate people with separate names, bank accounts and tax details. Etsy would not say what information connected the accounts, and its final reply said that all replies would be closed. I cannot sign in to my account, my appeal page shows as closed, and I have no way to give more information or ask for a human review. I have no bad reviews and I followed the Star Seller requirements, including sending videos of my engraving process. I understand platforms need to prevent abuse, but a small business that depends on Etsy deserves a clear reason and a real way to respond, not an automated decision with no route to challenge it. This has cost me my main sales channel.
SCAM!!!! i bought item from etsy, they take my money but give a error purchase and no give me a item! customer service not exist, they don't want to help me i sent a lot of email and nobody answer me!
I order two items, tealight candle holders. The chains that suspend the actual tealight holder are missing and so are the decorative suspended things on the bottom of holder. This is my first and last time buying through Esty. $80 for products that are rended useless and unable to do anything because I was a guest buyer.
I purchased area rug that arrived with several humps, bumps, ripples etc. Attempted to work with seller to get the carpet to relax. No go. Asked for a refund. Etsy closed the file abruptly. No response to my numerous request to contact me request. Crickets! Warning - USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR OWN RISK!
Etsy Does Not Enforce Its Sellers' Advertised Return Policies I purchased a suitcase for nearly $400 from an Etsy seller whose listing explicitly advertised that returns and exchanges were accepted within 30 days. When I attempted to return the item, the seller refused to honor that policy, imposing conditions that were never disclosed at the time of purchase. Even more disturbing was Etsy's response. Despite receiving screenshots documenting the advertised return policy, Etsy closed my case without requiring the seller to honor those terms. Apparently, Etsy allows sellers to advertise return policies that buyers rely upon but then fails to hold them accountable. I consider Etsy's handling of this dispute appalling and its buyer protections seriously misleading. I am now considering filing a small claims lawsuit against Etsy to recover my money. After this experience, I will never shop on Etsy again. Buyers beware: An advertised return policy means very little if Etsy refuses to enforce it.
