No humans available, money lost so far
Ordered an item on 5 Sept 2026 (order #[contact number removed], EUR 51.50). It never arrived. I messaged the seller three times with no answer, and the shop has since closed and the listing was removed. The app offered no “Open a case” option, I sent a help request to Etsy, and after more than a week, I have received no reply and no refund, no info whatsoever from Etsy.
For a platform that advertises Purchase Protection, having no working route to a human is unacceptable. I am now disputing the charge with my bank.
Paid 12 euro's to open a shop, as etsy promotes this is for security and service reasons. Their 'service' gave me 2 views of my shop in an entire month. Complete waste of money, Etsy just took it and did nothing. Im not sure why this platform is so popular, just go to numerous other websites where you can advert your stuff for free, and where paying actually legimatelly give you advertisement. This was a total scam.

I want to share my experience with Joyva Studio on Etsy — has anyone else experienced something similar?
I want to share my experience with Joyva Studio because I believe other Etsy sellers, especially new sellers in the Canva invitation website niche, should be aware of what happened to me.
I noticed that Joyva Studio had multiple Etsy shops and many bestselling listings. When I started creating my own Canva invitation websites, I worked on popular themes and occasions that many sellers offer on Etsy.
However, I began receiving messages from this seller asking me to remove listings that I believed were independently created and different from her specific designs. When I was new, I initially changed some listings because I thought perhaps that was how things worked on Etsy.
What concerned me even more was that, in my experience, I would be asked to remove one listing, but later an intellectual property report would concern a different listing. This left me confused about what exactly was being challenged and why. I felt that even when I addressed one concern, another listing could become the subject of a dispute.
Eventually, I questioned why I should have to keep changing or removing my work when I was creating my own designs around popular themes, occasions, colors, and general website formats that many other sellers also use.
I explained my position and provided comparisons to demonstrate the differences between our websites. Despite this, I experienced further disputes involving intellectual property reports. After disagreements with Joyva Studio, I also received reports from another party. I cannot confirm whether these events were connected, but the repeated pattern concerned me.
I disputed reports that I believed were incorrect and submitted formal counter notices through Etsy. Eventually, my shop was permanently suspended, and my appeal was denied. Losing the business I worked so hard to build has been devastating.
I cannot claim to know Joyva Studio's intentions, and I respect every seller's right to protect their original work. However, my experience left me feeling singled out and made me question whether intellectual property complaints can sometimes put smaller competitors at a disadvantage.
Popular themes, occasions, colors, and general website layouts are not necessarily exclusive to one seller. There should be a fair distinction between copying someone's original artwork or protected creative expression and independently creating a product in the same popular niche.
I'm sharing my experience because I want other sellers to document their designs, save screenshots of communications, keep records of listing changes and reports, and understand their options when facing similar disputes. I also believe Etsy needs stronger safeguards against potentially abusive or mistaken reports and a fair review process for sellers who challenge allegations.
Has anyone else experienced repeated intellectual property complaints while selling Canva invitation websites or other digital products? Have you ever been asked to remove one listing and then received a report concerning a different listing? I'd genuinely like to hear how others handled these situations, especially if they managed to resolve a dispute or successfully appeal an Etsy suspension.

Bad and worst experience...
Bad and worst experience...
Etsy suspended my seller account without providing any clear reason or proper explanation. This has been an extremely disappointing experience.
If you are planning to start an online business, I would strongly recommend thinking twice before choosing Etsy as your selling platform. Instead, consider building your own website and developing your business independently.
I do not recommend Etsy to sellers based on my experience. Never again!

Stay away from Etsy
Etsy is an I’ll run company that has antiquated processes that serve the company and not the people who use the platform. In addition the structure is built for them to make money not the sellers. They have so many rules they can’t even understand them and yet make decisions that don’t align with with the rules. Watch out. It is not a safe or good company. Just because lots of people use it, that has nothing to do with Etsy the platform. The sellers are awesome creative people. Etsy is a structural mess.

Used to love them...they've done downhill. Two times, I ordered stuff, from Etsy...Bresco Clogs were from "Poland," so they said. The product fell apart within a week, with no unusual wear...it's RIDICULOUS! Then the seller got a tude because I told them...it's nonsense. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this process thru Etsy.

I'm not surprised that Etsy only has 1 star on TrustPilot! I wrote a review that did NOT violate any rules. I even checked it thru Grok (AI). Etsy came back and said they removed my review! It was an honest review about a very rude seller with no customer service. I was not ugly, and I was warning other buyers, just like bad reviews often do! Unbelievable. I was not provided with the promised item I purchased, then Etsy accused me of extortion!!! Wow! They said I was trying to get a free product by writing a bad review. OMG. I wouldn't want to ever deal with that seller again, and I wanted NOTHING from him but an apology. He was such a jerk, and then Etsy punishes the buyer. How stupid is that?! Etsy sucks.

I ordered a mini toolbag keychain
I ordered a mini toolbag keychain. Going by the photo I ordered it. Only to be told it was going to be delivered on multiple dates that didn't show up only to show up and NOT be what I ordered. I had ordered with Etsy before with no problem but Etsy is not taking responsibility these sellers doing false advertisements is ridiculous. I will NEVER order anything else from the seller or Etsy ever again! Keep the money you fraudulently tricked me out of and hopefully you will lose all of your customers and go out of business!
