This company is terrible and deceptive.
They initially attempted to not accept a return for two pairs of shorts that were on sale. The return option was not available. When I sent a direct email they said I was correct in that these were not marked “final sale”. They then tried to offer me a gift card + $10. When I clearly stated I wanted to return the shorts, they began process. This took like 3 back and forth emails to a named (presumably) rep. When I completed online return process stating I wanted rerun and writing on return sheet (refund), once they received the items, they promptly sent an effing gift card!!!! I tried restart initial long back and forth with (presumed) person they were GONE. Complete silence as in ghosted. Thats some sneaky garbage.
I ordered size XL according to their size chart for my waist. Initially all went well, quick despatch and fast delivery by DHL to the UK. Unfortunately they're too big so I emailed for an exchange. 3 days later I'm no further forward! They use an annoying AI bot that obviously doesn't help (they never do). Then an agent directs me to an automated returns process that doesn't work. The box to submit the return stays greyed out. I told them that and after waiting for assistance I was just directed back to the same page. I've tried mobile and desktop. Chrome and Safari. Nothing will get the submit return button to show. I wish I'd never bought from Chubbies!
Update - Google was far more knowledgeable and helpful than Chubbies and directed me to a Global returns website. The bad news is their free returns is only applicable inside USA. I have to payb£7.56 to send back the shorts. Never again!

In the age of online ordering, Chubbies fail
Multiple screw ups, 1 small order. Ordered 2 pair of shorts and my CC was charged, never received them, or ANY form of communication about the order after the initial order placed. So, I had to reach out to them (email). They re-entered the order. I received one of 2 pair of shorts and an email stating the other was out of stock and I would be refunded. That was 10 days ago, no refund, no shorts either.
Once again I have to reach out to them(email).
Chubbies doesn't have the online ordering properly engineered. This started 3 weeks ago today. I don't recommend ordering from them.

Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Ordered several hundred dollars worth of chubbies clothing and was not notified that several items in my order were out of stock and would not be shipped until I reached out to customer service nearly 3 weeks later. You may receive your order, you may not, but either way you are unlikely to be notified if any issues come up. Customer service was less than helpful and there is no way to contact except thorough email or a useless "AI" text bot.

Buyers, beware!
Been a longtime fan and supporter of Chubbies, rocking the shorts and shirts which always help kickstart the party. Unfortunately, Chubbies doesn’t seem to cover manufacturer defects when you purchase from an authorized retailer, such as Academy.
I got this rad shirt a week ago, wore it to a lunch and then wore it out today. I noticed the stitching/thread started to come apart at the bottom of the polo, leaving it bunched up and looking like garbage.
So, I did what any reasonable guy would do: I took some photos and sent them to Chubbies, because certainly they would back a $60 polo purchased a week ago.
Nope. Not the case. In fact, all they said they could do was get me some kind of 50% store credit to buy another one. No offer to replace, exchange, nothing. No standing behind the product I got at one of their authorized retailers.
At $60 bucks a polo, you would think I would get more than 1.25 wears outta the thing, but that’s not the case. It’s also not the case that Chubbies would stand behind the product and offer to exchange or replace it.
I loved you guys, I really did, but that love has been flushed down the toilet. I paid $60 for a Chubbies polo that’s held up no better than a $20 Obla.
Buyers, beware.

Good Customer Service
Package due here this past Monday,then Thursday, now no specific date. Hopefully it comes. I was really annoyed over this but then I reached out to Chubbies last night and they gave me store credit for the entire order. I appreciate them accommodating the situation.

Been 2 weeks since my order
Been 2 weeks since my order and the items have been in one location the whole time. Genuinely disappointed in this company, bc in the order and in a separate email I wrote them telling them about my vacation in 16 days and that I am buying the clothes for that. Now it looks like I won’t be getting the clothes since I leave tomorrow for my vacation. Would not recommend!

Boring and Poor quality with same price
They used to be much better around 2020 -2021. Lot of interesting items. Trucker jacket and fluffy hoodies were my favorites. They just got rid of everything interesting and became super boring and poor quality with same price.

Years of positive experiences with Chubbies. I have gifted the swim shorts and casual shorts to several men in my family for birthdays and holidays. I always inspect the items first. They're made well. Gold star
