HostGator vs SiteGround: reviews & customer experience | ReviewList
CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE, SIDE BY SIDE
HostGator vs SiteGround
Compare review coverage and website observations, then use the web hosting checklist to research the details that matter to you.
Some reviews were collected from other review services. Each collection is shown separately and may cover only part of the customer feedback available. These averages describe the published records, rather than every customer or an official platform score. How the data works
Review volume and date range help explain what you are comparing. A larger collection is not proof of better service. A website observation describes the checked domain at a particular time and does not measure product performance or guarantee safety.
Hosting reviews can describe very different plans and workloads. Compare similar hosting types and distinguish a support experience from an independently measured uptime result. Our domain checks observe public website signals; they do not benchmark hosting plans.
Plan and workload
Match the hosting type, storage limits, traffic expectations, and number of sites to your project.
Renewal and cancellation
Check the full renewal cost, minimum term, refund window, and cancellation steps before buying.
Backups and migration
Confirm backup frequency, restore access, migration scope, and any additional fees in writing.
Support responsibility
Ask which problems the provider handles and which require your own developer. Read reviews from customers on a comparable plan.
Which one has the better reviews?
The tables show each available review collection without combining different collection methods into a single winner. Read the low and high ratings, compare the dates, and look for experiences relevant to your purchase. Reviews describe individual accounts and are not independently established facts about every transaction.
HostGator is horrible and their customer service is the worst. Our emails were not working and they're technical support even though we told them exactly what it is kept closing the ticket for wrong reasons. We ended up switching to another provider will never ever recommend Host…
The problem was solved fast. I gave two screen shots, the service support person asked me to wait, then he asked me to send a test email to his account, it was successful, then I used my own email accounts to verify, it was working! The experience was good.
